Wanna be on Ep. 60?

Episode 30 had Cyberlink420, the winner of the Top Ten Moments contest.
Episode 40 had SporkNinjaDraken, the winner of the Fan Art contest.

Who will be the guest on Episode 60?
And what will the contest be?

It's been a while since Show Me Your News has done a contest of sorts, but even though our fan base has been crippled (see Ep. 56's easter egg), I think it's time to start another one. The prize is to be a guest on Episode 60! If you've ever wanted to be on the show, now's your time!

This how the next few episodes will tentatively break down as far as guests are concerned:
Episode 57: Host of the national gaming expo SMYN will be featured at, has been on SMYN before (end February)
Episode 58: Pokemon HG/SS with NinjaLink (mid March)
Episode 59: *TBD* (end March)
Episode 60: YOU?! (mid April)

Now, as for what kind of event it will be...I'm really not sure what to do. I really enjoy top-ten compilations, but I feel like a lot of people would just steal from my Ep. 44 list to try to win over my good graces. Fan art was a good idea, but reusing that idea seems trite. I dunno, would a video contest declaring how big a fan you are seem too cliche?

The question I need answered is: WHAT KIND OF CONTEST WOULD YOU WANT TO COMPETE IN TO BE A GUEST ON THE PODCAST?

But maybe in an ironic twist, the contest is to come up with a contest!

As ironic as that would be, that would unfortunately be ultimately futile.

A video contest would be a lot of fun. You could pick certain elements that need to be in the actual video. Something like a character, lines, or even overall genre. Who ever comes up with the funniest/most creative entry wins.

That's something that I would be up for doing.

Well the first video contest winner got into episode 30.

30 x 2 = 60

So another video contest may be in order? Possibly with a different theme this time around?

Hmm.. I can onlyreally think of a fan comic contest? Iunno, then some people would have a bit of an advantage over others experience-wise. However, it'd be fair. Those without drawing experience could use sprites, and vise-versa.

Meh, that's all I've got. Maybe an essay contest? Why do you think YOU'D make a good guest on SMYN? Not exactly the most exciting thing in the world, but it could work.

That sounds good in theory, but you can't really judge a picture in the same way you'd judge a piece of writing. It has to be consistent, or it becomes difficult to judge.
