TheCremator, known to some as Negi-Kun, has chosen to resign from his position as Moderator of the Show Me Your News! Forums. I will leave it up to him to decide whether he wants to make his reasons public.

At this point in time, there are no plans to replace him.

RE: To All Users
Well this is... sudden. I can only imagen that he might be having trouble is his personal live, in which case I wish him the best of luck to over come whatever the problem is.

RE: To All Users
Odd. I haven't seen him around much recently, so I suppose this is the logical end to the silence. I hope to see him around some, but I have my guesses why he'll be away for either a while or indefinitely. Either way, best of luck to him.

People often know me by my Green hedgehogs with swords.

RE: To All Users
Like Dark said, it's up to him wether or not to release why he's resigning or not, but I know why. As for the plans to replace him, the forums not that big and I agree with Kurai's reasoning. So, welcome back to the dark side, Negi. Are you surprised we lied about having cookies??

RE: To All Users
It's nothing about my personal life or anything like that. I'll just spill the reason right here. Since I'm too lazy to word it differently, I'll just copy the reason from my PM to Darkurai.

Well, first I was thinking of leaving the entire forum, but I think I'll stick around because of the awesome people here. Truth is, I think SMYN sucks now. I'm just not liking the recent episodes. They just seem to bore me so much. I just wish it could be like the good ol' glory days of Brawl speculation, were I was actually excited to hear what the Brawl news was. I wasn't even a member of SWF way back when, so I relied on SMYN for all the speculation and hype. Then when Brawl finally was released, they kinda shifted to general gaming with a bit of Brawl focus. Then, we had short-lived debates of techniques allowed and tourneys and the like. Well, I didn't like this at all to be honest. Now, I've lost all motivation to ever listening to Show Me Your News because I've found a new podcast. LE GASP

I'm cheating on SMYN. Heh. Well, there's this podcast called Control Point, a weekly TF2 podcast. You know how amazing it was that Youko and Panda kept the podcast weekly up until Brawls release? Well, a team of 4 guys have kept it weekly since 2007. They even hit their hundredth episode not too long ago. Their community is composed of thousands of fans, much better than the few dozen LOYAL fans of SMYN, which excludes me, I suppose. And you might say it's better to have a small community so you know everyone around, but I continue to hang around a set amount of friends in the Control Point community as well. I don't know. I don't really play Brawl or pretty much anything Nintendo anymore. Their ignorance of the hardcore gamer led me to PC gaming.

Remember that guy named Deception and how he was shunned for thinking it all went downhill after Brawl came out? I now realize what he meant. I love the friendly community we have here, but for the podcast itself I don't really care. Youko's idea of expanding the SMYN audience only drove more people away than it did bring more fans. I have no hard feelings toward Youko or anyone of the SMYN team, though I do feel the podcast had taken a turn for the worst. I think it was all over after around episode 39 or so. I hope you can forgive me.

Again, I hold nothing against the community we have here, I think you guys are great. But I think I've kind of "moved on." I might post once in a while, but most of the time when I'm ever on the computer, I'm just playing games or on YouTube.

I'm not entirely leaving you guys or anything, but I do not think I even deserve modship anymore. Hope you can understand/ forgive me.

Edit: Oh, and if any admins decide to assign a new mod at any time, that's fine.

RE: To All Users
It's okay, while I do think the last five episodes have been awesome, I can understand your position. The podcast is somewhat rebuilding itself at the moment and the future is unclear. I hope for more episodes like the last five, but who knows what will happen.

I hold no animosity towards you, however I am going to make "Irony" redirect to you in the Smash Wikia.

See you around whenever SSB4 is announced.

*where

I don't see why not liking SMYN anymore means you can't be a mod, but it's up to you.
I always thought we had too many mods anyway.
Bye bye pink name. that you were so adamant about getting XD

RE: To All Users
It's okay Negi, the podcast was already dating Youko and Panda :3

Silly jokes aside, I understand where you're coming from with the episodes being boring. I too stopped listening during the 'Smash Back Room Podcast' episodes and wasn't very thrilled with video podcasts either. I do think the most recent episodes have brought SMYN closer to its "glory days" because it's simply Youko just chatting with a guest or two about a hobby we all have in common: video games. That's what I loved about the original podcasts in the first place.

But before I go out on my own little tangent; I'll say that I'm sorry to hear that you are no longer interested in the podcast, but I don't see why you're acting like you can only listen to ONE podcast. I mean Control Point is great, but you are allowed to listen to SMYN, even if it doesn't interest you as much. Meh, it's your choice so do what you want and best of luck in your future endeavors. (I'm sure you of all people here will get that reference Big Grin)

RE: To All Users
I'm cheating on SMYN as I type, with the Spill.com Movie Review Podcasts and such.

But I do see where you're coming from and really understand your situation. Though I can't say the same for myself because I do love all the gaming news and hearing the guests and everything.

Now I only wish that you liked the Fancast. PLZ?

RE: To All Users
I get ya Cremator and at least you had the decency to come straight out and tell us. I can see how the podcasts has changed post-brawl release and somebody is going to dislike that change no matter what... so best of luck to you wherever the wind takes you.
