ok basically you respond to the previous difficult decision while posting your own.....

I'll start this off with:

Save the life of a family member at the expense of 5 innocent people

OR

Save the 5 innocent people at the expense of your family member

GO!
What's the situation? Are there pools of acid involved? Rabid tigers? Am I Batman? Is there a villain? Is he insane? Can I outsmart him? Reason with him? Shoot him in the face? Do the tigers have bombs attached to their stomachs?

VARIABLES, MAN! VARIABLES!
it's a kind of Saw situation...........................and it's death by bullet ants on their upper body and piranhas on their crotch.....
Depends on the family member...
I'd save all 6 people at the expense of that one loonie uncle.

Would you rather have a buffalo take a diarrhea dump in your ear, or play a bad video game?
The first one, as long as I got to have a beer afterwords.

Ye find yeself in yon dungeon. Ye see a FLASK
Obvious exits are NORTH, SOUTH, and DENNIS.

What wouldst thou deau?
Hm...for me it becomes a spiritual matter.

I'm Christian, so my first thought would be knowing if any of the innocents or family member were born-again. If none of the innocents were and my family was, I'd try to save the innocents and give them a chance to be saved. If vice versa, then vice versa. If I didn't know either...than I hope that I would be willing to risk myself. I know I'm born again and I may have doubts sometimes, but I know I'm God's. The unsaved people...would go to hell.

And don't think me brave, because I have no idea what fear and panic would do to me if this scenario ever happened. I hope I would be willing. Plus, no matter what I chose, I'd be ripped open in the heart by grief no matter who it was that died.
this is what makes it a difficult decision...you have a small window of time to make a choice and either one isn't going to leave you unscarred.....either you kill off strangers to save a loved one or kill off your loved one to save multiple strangers...

and what do you mean by saved?

(also for the purposes of this hypothetical situation, you can't offer yourself as a tribute)

I meant like, born again, Christian, saved. Can't offer myself? Dang. Yeah, unforunately most of this is relative. So many variables its impossible to make a dicision where no one gets hurt.
I know...that's the point...decisions become difficult when you can't get the most satisfactory answer or if you are lacking information to make an informed decision or if they force you to act in a way you normally wouldn't...but anyway...........

anyway in an attempt to "re-rail" this thread back...I'll answer Moptop's question:

DENNIS

New decision:

it's a zombie apocalypse

do you:

go it alone but are equipped with any gun of your choice and 2 grocery bags full of ammunition

or

get a team of 5 people (including yourself) but have to use whatever's lying around (and for the sake of argument you are not in a place with any legitimate weaponry)
